Students must upload their vaccination card into the MediCat portal to show proof of vaccination.

The COVID-19 vaccine is required for all students for the fall semester. Students must upload their vaccination card into the Medicat® Patient Portal. Students can access the portal through MyRIC on a computer. The Medicat icon will allow you to sign in using your MyRIC access username jdoe_9458 and your MyRIC password.

If you are having issues logging into Medicat, you can call the Help Desk at 401-456-8803 or email a copy of your COVID vaccine card to healthservices@isupe.net. Additional information on exemptions can be found in forms in the Medicat portal.

Students who live out of state are eligible to receive the vaccine at any clinics hosted by Rhode Island College. (See above regarding schedule.)

RIC will strongly recommended students and non-classified employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Medical and religious exemptions are no longer required. 

DO NOT ASK FOR TESTING AT SWEET HALL IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS--CALL THE CENTER FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS AT 456-8055 (Option #5).  Mask & Isolate as much as possible until you have spoken to a nurse. 

Contact the Center for Health and Wellness (option #5) and speak to a nurse and an appointment for testing will be made for you.  You should also self-report on the RIC website, COVID-19 page using this form.

Home COVID tests are for personal use only and should not be uploaded to the Medicat portal. They are not intended for screening and surveillance on campus.  Only tests from testing sites or health care providers are acceptable.
